There are signs of life at the shuttered Queens Mountain Cafe in downtown Roxbury.
The McArdle family, which owns and operates local wedding venue The Inn at West Settlement, plans to open a new restaurant in the historic 1845 building in January, Andy McArdle said this week.
Queens Mountain Cafe closed in July. Owners Martin and Yung Yung Lerner, who operated the property as a cafe, art gallery and inn, had been trying sell it for $300,000.
McArdle declined further comment on his family’s plans, saying that construction is under way and the menu has not yet been set; stay tuned for details.
