Catskill Eats is a news site covering the Catskill Mountain region of upstate New York. Founded in 2015, it publishes stories about farms, restaurants and food and craft beverage producers, with an emphasis on local growers, restaurateurs and artisans. Its coverage area encompasses five counties: Sullivan, Ulster, Delaware, Greene and Schoharie.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Catskill Eats is owned and operated by Jennifer Strom, a veteran journalist whose career spans food writing, investigative reporting and management in traditional, alternative and online media. Her projects include creating and launching the Watershed Post‘s print and online Catskills Food Guide; covering Manhattan restaurants for news site/print magazine The Lo-Down; and overseeing restaurant and agriculture coverage as managing editor at North Carolina’s award-winning Indy Week. Most recently, she took a shift on the other side of the counter, launching and operating a breakfast/brunch/bakery food truck on a tiny Caribbean island. She adores restaurants of all kinds, from dive bars to five stars.
