  • Cocktails and Trail Tales: Friday, Oct. 23, 7-9 p.m., Prohibition Distillery, 10 Union St., Roscoe. Join the New York-New Jersey Trail Conference leaders for a sip of something delicious from the tasting room at Sullivan County’s award-winning distillery. Light snacks will be provided, along with lots of info about trail development work being done near Roscoe.
  • 99 Bottles of Beer on the Bar: Saturday, Oct. 24, 1-5 p.m., Aroma Thyme Bistro, 165 Canal St., Ellenville. The certified-green gastropub pops the cap on some 10-year-old vintage beers at this annual event, which features craft brew selections from Europe and all over the U.S. Tickets are $30 and available online.
  • Farm Catskills Harvest of Songs Launch: Saturday, Oct. 24, 3-5 p.m., Hamden Inn, 35769 Route 10, Hamden. This kid-friendly event celebrates a music education program of Farm Catskills, a Delhi-based nonprofit that supports working landscapes and local food access. Lucky Dog Farm and Cafe will serve its popular chili and bread, and potluck dishes are also welcome. Cash bar will be available. For more on the Hamden Inn, see our recent story.
  • Pick Your Own Apples & Pumpkins: This week and next will close out the pick-your-own season for 2015 at a lot of area farms. If you’re still looking to stock the fridge for pies and canning, or seeking the perfect jack-o-lantern candidate, check out our handy guide.
