A&P Bar, Woodstock’s newest restaurant and nightlife spot, will throw open its doors this Sunday, June 25, with a public open house from 4 to 7 p.m. Helmed by the original owners of Oriole 9 and Yum Yum Noodle Bar in town, A&P Bar will feature “an extensive cocktail menu mixing handcrafted Hudson Valley spirits with a range of in-house bitters, shrubs, sodas and amaros,” “an expertly curated, affordable wine list” and “comforting staples and bold flavors from the best local and international ingredients” under the guidance of head chef and co-owner Pierre-Luc Moeys.
Anchored by a 30-foot bar crafted by Rhinebeck woodworker Jonah Meyer of Sawkille, the industrial-design interior sports a private seating area, a spacious mezzanine area and a seating terrace overlooking the woods. Lighting, textiles and tableware were commissioned from local artisans.
Moeys and his partner Nina Paturel, who sold their interests in their previous Woodstock businesses to focus on the Stone Ridge-based Lekker cafe and catering service a couple of years ago, have teamed up with Gemma D’Entrone to form a new company, Meadow Hospitality Group. A&P is its first venture, with more projects in the works.
